Grand Champion Steer Joins Patrons for Afternoon Tea
This is as close as it gets to a bull in a china cabinet. In January, the National Western Stock Show’s Grand Champion Steer is led down a red carpet to be put on display during Afternoon Tea in The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa’s lobby. From 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., catch a close-up of the steer and have complimentary photos taken with him. Open to the public. Reservations are not required.

From the story of romantic couples like President Ike and Mamie Eisenhower, to the scandalous affairs of Isabelle “Sassy” Springer, The Brown Palace has seen them all. These themed tours are offered to the public for free on select days in February starting at 1 p.m. Reservations are required.

Halloween Tours
The hotel’s historian leads wide-eyed guests on tours through some of The Brown’s more hair-raising hauntings, telling tales of mysterious sightings and disturbances from its 115 year past.  These themed tours are offered to the public for free on select days in October starting at 1 p.m. Reservations are required.

Champagne Cascade
This November, join us to officially usher in the holiday season. With the stroke of an antique Napoleonic saber, a master swordsman severs the necks of Moet et Chandon champagne bottles. Once opened, the champagne is poured into the uppermost glass of an elaborate 6,000-glass pyramid rising nearly two stories in the hotel’s atrium lobby. The Champagne Cascade is open to the public and complements The Brown Palace’s lavish Sunday Brunch (optional). Reservations are required.

Breakfast with Santa
The Brown Palace’s littlest guests love to have Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus, offered on select days in December.  This family favorite includes an elf-sized buffet, complimentary photo, and music from the North Pole. Open to the public. Reservations are required.
