Grand Champion Steer Joins Patrons for Afternoon Tea This is as close as it gets to a bull in a china cabinet. In January, the National Western Stock Show’s Grand Champion Steer is led down a red carpet to be put on display during Afternoon Tea in The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa’s lobby. Affairs of the Heart Valentine’s Tours Historian Debra Faulkner conducts special historical tours featuring the romantic rendezvous that have occurred throughout the years. From the story of romantic couples like President Ike and Mamie Eisenhower, to the scandalous affairs of Isabelle “Sassy” Springer, The Brown Palace has seen them all. Champagne Cascade This November, join us for a one-of-a-kind event. With the stroke of an antique Napoleonic saber, a master swordsman severs the necks of Moet et Chandon champagne bottles. Once opened, the champagne is poured into the uppermost glass of an elaborate 6,000-glass pyramid rising nearly two stories in the hotel’s atrium lobby. The Champagne Cascade is open to the public and complements The Brown Palace’s lavish Sunday Brunch (optional). Reservations are not required for the event. |
