Autumn in the Atrium: Halloween Tea Series
This fall, Afternoon Tea at The Brown Palace takes on a spellbinding new character. From September 28 – November 3, our Atrium Lobby becomes the stage for a rotating series of fantastical themes — each one transforming this storied space into something altogether unexpected.
Lose yourself in the whimsy of Alice in Wonderland, where the Mad Hatter’s eccentric spirit lingers over towers of pastries and steaming teapots. Follow the yellow brick road during our Wizard of Oz week, where curious details guide you back to Denver’s own Emerald City. Step into the shadows of a Gothic Garden, filled with dark elegance and floral intrigue. And finally, embrace the magic of the season with our Witches Tea, a hauntingly elegant finale to October.
Each week offers the timeless Afternoon Tea tradition reimagined through storytelling, décor, and atmosphere — a one-of-a-kind way to celebrate autumn in Denver beneath the glass atrium of The Brown Palace.

Spirits of the Brown: Haunted History Tour
For more than 130 years, whispers have echoed through the halls of The Brown Palace Hotel. Some speak of famous guests, others of spirits that never checked out. On the Spirits of the Brown Haunted History Tour, you’ll descend into the hotel’s storied past — a world of lingering shadows, uncanny encounters, and tales that refuse to fade.
Led by an expert guide, the journey winds through opulent spaces and hidden passageways, where the line between history and haunting grows thin. Each ticket includes a handcrafted cocktail or mocktail — a fitting tribute to the spirits, both poured and paranormal, that make The Brown Palace one of Denver’s most intriguing landmarks.

37th Annual Champagne Cascade
An iconic Denver tradition returns as The Brown Palace Hotel presents the 37th Annual Champagne Cascade on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Beneath the stained-glass ceiling of the Atrium Lobby, a dazzling pyramid of 5,201 glasses becomes the stage for one of the season’s most spectacular holiday celebrations. With each tier filled, champagne flows from top to bottom in a breathtaking display of elegance and festivity.
Guests may choose from VIP or General Admission experiences, each offering exclusive keepsakes and access to witness the cascade from different vantage points within the hotel. A portion of event proceeds will benefit Mount St. Vincent, supporting vital programs for children and families in need.

Gilded Masquerade Ball
On Halloween night, The Brown Palace presents its inaugural Gilded Masquerade Ball in the Atrium. An evening designed for elegance and intrigue, guests are invited to dress in cocktail or evening attire, with masks adding a touch of mystery to the celebration.
A welcome cocktail begins the night, followed by music, dancing, and atmosphere within one of Denver’s most iconic settings.
